Living Room Session: Memory

Living Room Session is an event moderated by Shaquille Shaniqua Joy who curates an evening full of art, performances and talks held at Felix Meritis. The theme for this edition was “memory” and I was asked to perform a guided medition to open the event and to design the program image.

I recreated Shaquille’s childhood living room based on how she discribed it when I interviewed her on her memory. I sculpted each object with ceramic clay, then 3D scanned this and used the models to generate a render of the full living room in Blender.

The comissioned image is both a nod to the event’s current theme as well as the overall conceptual identity of the program.
